Hannah decided on September 25th at 2:49 am that she was ready to head into the world…almost. Her mother’s water broke, so it would SEEM like it’s go time. We grab the “it’s time to have a baby” pre-packed hospital bag and jet out the door. But not before I grab my Canon Powershot SD400 point-and-shoot camera and get to snapping away. The first camera I ever owned and the start of my journey to being a photographer (thank you, Hannah Rose).
But as it turns out, Hannah wasn’t quite ready to pop out, waiting until 3:58 pm…over 12 hours later…to get her mom fully dilated. Just in time for the epidural to wear off, lol.

It’s still wild that I captured these photos. Me cutting the umbilical cord. The doctor holding her up like the catch-of-the-day. Tenisha had to be annoyed. Like “Bruh, can you pay attention or something?”
with a waiting room full of family and friends, we couldn’t have been happier. Hannah Marie Rose was here!

She definitely made a fuss once she finally decided to come out, but settled down after getting a quick bath and her hair washed. Typical.
